D'Aste: "Grandissime gare a Buriram"
Il pilota della Münnich Motorsport è andato a punti conquistando anche due podi nel Trofeo Yokohama.

È stato un ottimo weekend per Stefano D'Aste a Buriram. Nella prima visita del WTCC in Thailandia il genovese se ne torna a casa con un doppio 8° posto nelle due gare e punti importanti nel Trofeo Yokohama Piloti.
Il pilota della ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport ha affidato, come sempre, ai social i propri commenti al weekend di gara.
"Nelle FP1 abbiamo ottenuto il 12° crono e siamo stati la seconda Chevy, mentre nelle FP2 non abbiamo montato gomme nuove e abbiamo concluso al 16° posto - ha detto soddisfatto D'Aste - L'auto era molto competitiva e finalmente abbiamo capito come tirare fuori tutto il suo potenziale."
Le cose non sono però andate come previsto in Qualifica: "Uno strano problema al turbo non ci ha permesso di fare un giro cronometrato. Peccato perché bilanciamento e set up erano ottimi, tutto grazie allo splendido lavoro del team."
In gara D'Aste è stato molto fortunato ad evitare l'incidente al via di Gara 1, poi ha dato sfogo alla sua voglia di rivincita e piazzato la sua Cruze RML TC1 in zona punti dopo belle battaglia: "In Gara 1 abbiamo ottenuto un bellissimo 8° posto assoluto e il 2° fra gli Indipendenti, combattendo e divertendoci con Rob Huff. In Gara 2 altro podio nel Trofeo Yokohama e 9° posto assoluto, peccato per il buio che ha fatto sospendere la gara a due giri dalla fine."
