Germania, PS3: soltanto Latvala insidia Ogier
I primi due con la Vw Polo R hanno già rifilato oltre 24 secondi alla Citroen di Meeke
Il Rally di Germania resta in mano alla Volkswagen, ma Sebastien Ogier cede la prima prova speciale a Jari-Matti Latvala, il compagno di squadra che ha vinto la terza speciale, Moselland di 21,02 km, con il tempo di 12'48"1. Il finlandese si è aggiudicato lo scratch di appena due decimi sul campione del mondo: la sfida fra i due si sta facendo davvero entusiasmante ed è giocata sul filo dei decimi.
Tutti gli altri, infatti, sono già lontani: dal trenino di vetture tedesche si è già sganciato Andreas Mikkelsen che è precipitato al quinto posto, pagando un ottavo tempo in prova, mentre in terzo piazza si è portato Kris Meeke con la Citroen DS3 WRC davanti a Dani Sordo, lo specialista dell'asfato che schiera la Hyundai sulla i20 WRC.
Nella lista dei top è scomparso Robert Kubica autore di un'uscita che gli è costata quattro minuti di ritardo: il polacco ha una ruota storta che dovrà essere riparata al parco assistenza.
