Svezia, PS5: tris e allungo per Ogier
Il pilota della Volkswagen riporta a 9"1 il gap su Latvala. Bel duello per il podio tra Mikkelsen ed Ostberg
Gli appena 7,07 km della PS5 hanno lasciato praticamente invariata nella classifica del Rally di Svezia. Sulla "Kirkenaer 1" è arrivata la terza affermazione di giornata della Volkswagen Polo R WRC di Sebastien Ogier, che ha nuovamente incrementato a 9"1 il vantaggio sul compagno di squadra Jari-Matti Latvala.
L'unico duello che sembra farsi davvero interessante è quello per la terza posizione che vede coinvolti i due norvegesi Andreas Mikkelsen e Mads Ostberg: nella generale resta davanti il pilota della Volkswagen, ma questa volta è stato più veloce il rivale della Citroen, che ha ridotto a soli 2"4 il ritardo della sua DS3 WRC nei confronti della Polo R WRC.
Più indietro Thierry Neuville ha consolidato la quinta posizione della sua Hyundai i20 WRC, portando a 17"2 il gap che lo separa dall'altra Citroen di Kris Meeke. Intanto inizia a far segnare dei tempi interessanti anche Robert Kubica, che sta provando a farsi sotto alle altre due Ford Fiesta RS WRC di Elfyn Evans ed Ott Tanak.
Sta diventando un incubo invece la gara di Lorenzo Bertelli, ancora alle prese con i problemi tecnici della sua vettura (ha perso la trazione sul posteriore) e precipitato a 6'35".
