Finlandia, PS8: Ogier prova ad infastidire Latvala
Speciale al francese, ma il finlandese paga solo 0"9 e resta davanti di 8"4 nell'assoluta
Il duello tra le due Volkswagen Polo R WRC di Jari-Matti Latvala e Sebastien Ogier è proseguito anche durante la PS8 del Rally di Finlandia. Questa volta ad avere la meglio è stato il leader della classifica iridata, che ha preceduto di 0"9 il finlandese, riducendo così a 8"4 il suo ritardo nella lista dei tempi assoluta.
Non molla la presa anche Kris Meeke, che è risultato più lento di appena 0"1 rispetto a Latvala, mantenendo così la sua Citroen DS3 WRC a soli 13"1 dalla vetta. Tutto invariato poi nelle posizioni a seguire, anche se la forbice si apre decisamente prima di trovare la Ford Fiesta RS WRC di Mikko Hirvonen, che paga poco meno di 40".
Il pilota di casa se non altro è riuscito a costruirsi un piccolo gap nei confronti dell'altra Volkswagen di Andreas Mikkelsen, che ora lo segue a 11"2 e deve soprattutto guardarsi le spalle dal ritorno della Citroen di Mads Ostberg, autore del quarto tempo e quindi distanziato di appena 0"8.
