Germania, PS9: Latvala nella base militare
Il finlandese vince la prova con la Polo R WRC e precede Meeke e Sordo
Jari-Matti Latvala dà spettacolo nella breve speciale Arena Panzerplatte di 3,03 km e si aggiudica la quarta prova del Rally di Germania che comanda con un margine di 40"6 su Kris Meeke con la Citroen DS3 WRC e 48"5 su Dani Sordo con la Hyundai i20 WRC. Il finlandese sta controllando la corsa: deve assolutamente evitare degli errori di deconcentrazione che lo hanno caratterizzato in passato.
Andreas Mikkelsen con la seconda Polo R WRC è riuscito a scrollarsi leggermente dalle spalle la i20 di Thierry Neuville: il belga, come il compagno di squadra Sordo, ha deciso di partire con le gomme più dure, mentre gli altri hanno puntato sulle morbide.
Robert Kubica, il primo sulla strada, dopo aver vinto la PS7 si è trovato ad affrontare un tratto di strada bagnata, ma poi ha smesso di piovere quando sono transitati gli altri concorrenti.
