Gran Bretagna, PS9: Evans non si ferma più. Neuville ha preso Ogier!
Elfyn continua a volare e a vincere speciali in serie. Il belga della Hyundai è a 2" dal leader del Mondiale e si avvicina anche a Tanak.

Continua la serie positiva di Elfyn Evans che centra la vittoria nella Prova Speciale 9 del Rally di Gran Bretagna, la Dyfnant 1 di 17,91 chilometri, e aumenta ancora il suo già considerevole vantaggio nei confronti dei diretti avversari.
Sullo sterrato reso fangoso dalla pioggia, il gallese del team DMACK ha battuto ancora una volta le due Hyundai di Andreas Mikkelsen e Thierry Neuville. Questa volta, però, il norvegese ha staccato un tempo migliore rispetto al belga.
Neuville può però consolarsi, perché ha recuperato ancora nei confronti di Ogier e Tanak e ormai è a circa 2" dal podio. I due piloti del team M-Sport saranno così costretti a spingere molto di più a partire dalla prossima speciale per non perdere posizioni importanti in ottica Mondiale.
La classifica è rimasta poi invariata ad eccezione del cambio di posizioni tra Hyundai. Daniel Sordo è tornato davanti ad Hayden Paddon. Il neozelandese è ancora una volta la delusione del team di Alzenau, perché sul tipo di fondo che predilige si trova solamente in nona posizione.
