Argentina, PS16: vola Tanak, ma Neuville si avvicina ancora a Evans
L'estone del team M-Sport vince la PS16 e mette al sicuro il terzo posto in classifica. Neuville chiude secondo e recupera secondi su Evans. Il gallese del team DMACK ha avuto problemi al pedale del freno.

La terza e ultima tappa del Rally d'Argentina è iniziata poco fa con la Prova Speciale 16, la El Condor - Copina di 16,32 chilometri e un Ott Tanak molto veloce, capace di centrare la vittoria della speciale e mettere al sicuro la sua terza posizione in classifica nei confronti di Sébastien Ogier.
Il pilota estone è stato capace di stampare un gran tempo, precedendo di appena 1"3 Thierry Neuville. Il belga, giunto al termine della speciale, ha affermato di non aver spinto a fondo, eppure è riuscito a recuperare ancora dei secondi su Elfyn Evans e ora ne ha appena 9 di ritardo dalla vetta.
Dal canto suo Evans ha dovuto fare i conti con un broblema al pedale del freno per metà della prova. Al termine della speciale il gallese del team DMACK ha dichiarato di essere preoccupato per il prosieguo della gara, anche se mancano appena 2 speciali al termine.
Bel quarto tempo per Craig Breen, tornato in gara grazie alla formula del Rally2 per tentare di portare a casa punti nella Power Stage di questa sera. Sembra invece che Sébastien Ogier abbia ormai abbandonato l'idea di provare a recuperare su Tanak per chiudere a podio. Stesso discorso per Jari-Matti Latvala, ormai quinto al volante della prima Toyota Yaris in classifica.
