Test Moto2 Jerez, Giorno 3: Luthi da record, bene Bulega
Il pilota elvetico ha ritoccato il primato del tracciato andaluso, precedendo il nuovo arrivato in casa Gresini. Terzo tempo per Nagashima, ma bene anche le Speed Up, con Di Giannantonio sesto. Più indietro gli altri italiani.

Lo svizzero Thomas Luthi ha fatto valere la sua esperienza, chiudendo davanti a tutti la terza ed ultima giornata dei test collettivi della classe Moto2 sul tracciato di Jerez de la Frontera.
Il pilota della Liqui Moly Intact GP ha spinto la sua Kalex fino ad un crono di 1'40"326, miglior riferimento dell'intera tre giorni andalusa, ma soprattutto nuovo primato del tracciato intitolato ad Angel Nieto per quanto riguarda la classe di mezzo.
Oggi si è visto anche un Nicolò Bulega in grande spolvero: il nuovo pilota del Gresini Racing ha fermato il cronometro sull'1'40"661 con la sua Kalex, chiudendo secondo nella classifica di giornata e terzo in quella cumulativa, anche se con un ritardo di 335 millesimi su Luthi.
Appena 9 millesimi più indietro c'è il giapponese Tetsuta Nagashima, passato quest'anno a difendere i colori della Red Bull KTM Ajo, ma anche lui in sella ad una Kalex. Il poker delle moto austriache è servito poi con il quarto tempo di Xavi Vierge della Petronas Sprinta Racing.

Quinta e sesta piazza invece per le due Speed Up di Jorge Navarro e Fabio Di Giannantonio, che oggi hanno provato una nuova veste aerodinamica che sembra aver dato i suoi frutti. Procede positivamente poi l'adattamento alla categoria di Aron Canet: il rookie spagnolo è subito dietro, anche lui su Speed Up, ma dell'Aspar Team.
Nonostante una condizione fisica precaria, a causa dell'incidente avvenuto nei test della scorsa settimana, Jorge Martin è riuscito a concludere in ottava posizione con la Kalex della Red Bull KTM Ajo, mentre alle sue spalle a completare la top 10 troviamo Edgar Pons (Gresini Racing) e Marcel Schrotter (Liqui Moly Intact GP).
Subito fuori dalla top 10 c'è invece un tandem tutto italiano composto da Enea Bastianini e Lorenzo Baldassarri, entrambi impegnati nella ricerca del bilanciamento ottimale per le loro Kalex.
Più attardati invece i portacolori dello Sky Racing Team VR46: Luca Marini è in 16esima piazza, distanziato di circa un secondo, mentre Marco Bezzecchi è poco più indietro in 18esima. Quest'ultimo, però, rimane al secondo posto nella cumulativa dei tre giorni grazie alla prestazione che gli era valsa il miglior tempo ieri.
In difficoltà invece i piloti della MV Agusta: le cadute di Stefano Manzi hanno avuto un certo peso nel lavoro di sviluppo e il pilota italiano ha anche interrotto anzitempo il suo programma di lavoro, chiudendo solo 23esimo, giusto alle spalle del compagno Simone Corsi, che ha fatto delle comparative tra la moto 2019 e la 2020.
Continua a faticare parecchio anche il campione del mondo in carica della Moto3, ovvero Lorenzo Dalla Porta. Il nuovo arrivato in casa Italtrans Racing si ritrova addirittura 27esimo e penultimo nella classifica di oggi, con un ritardo di poco inferiore ai due secondi.
