IMSA, Road America: Derani e Nasr concedono il bis
Derani e Nasr hanno gestito bene la pole position e hanno poi approfittato di un pit stop giunto alla fine del team Shank. Doppio successo Porsche in GTLM e GT Daytona.

Pipo Derani e Felipe Nasr concedono il bis centrando il secondo successo consecutivo a Road America dopo aver vinto a Watkins Glen. Per l'equipaggio verde-oro è un momento... d'oro.
Partiti dalla pole position, hanno comandato la prima parte di gara, ma sono stati beffati dall'undercut ideato e messo perfettamente in atto dal team Shank. A 2 giri dalla fine Cameron è stato costretto a un pit stop per un rifornimento rapido.
Questo ha spalancato le porte del successo all'equipaggio del team ActionExpress, che ha così potuto festeggiare un grande bis al volante della Cadillac DPi del team AXR.
Secondo posto per la prima Mazda, quella ufficiale dell'equipaggio formato da Jarvis e Tinknell, arrivata di 1"5 alle spalle di Nasr e Derani. .Terzo posto per la seconda Cadillac sul podio, quella di van der Zande e Magnussen che difendono i colori del team Ganassi.
GTLM: svetta Porsche WeatherTech
Successo inaspettato per la Porsche WeatherTech, con un grande stint di Matt Campbell e un solo rifornimento in oltre 2 ore (la seconda parte di gara).
Per il team Proton è una grande vittoria, la seconda dopo quella ottenuta a Sebring, alla 12 Ore. La Corvette di Taylor e Garcia si è dovuta accontentare del secondo posto, dovendo fare una sosta in più rispetto alla Porsche vincitrice.
GT Daytona: ancora Porsche con il team Pfaff
Porsche sugli scudi anche in GT Daytona grazie a un super via di Zach Robichon e a un passo davvero di alto livello messo in mostra da Laurens Vanthoor.
La lotta, di fatto, è stata per la seconda posizione, finita nelle mani di Auberlen e Foley su BMW davanti alla Porsche di Long e Hindman.
Gara deludente per la Lexus di Telitz e Hawksworth. Partiti dalla pole, i due sono stati sanzionati dai commissari di gara a causa di una violazione in partenza (un cambio di traiettoria irregolare). Per questo sono usciti subito dalla lotta per la vittoria.
