Ypres, PS8-9: Loix regala il primo centro alla Fabia R5!
Breen allunga su Bouffier e Lefebvre, mentre il belga vince con la nuova Škoda ed è 4°. Out Princen, Porsche ok.
Il secondo e ultimo giorno del Rally di Ypres si è aperto con le Speciali "Reninge" (14,50km) e "Watou" (14,29Km) nelle quali Craig Breen ha esteso il proprio vantaggio in classifica generale, portando a 10"5 il margine sulla Citroën DS3 R5 di Bryan Bouffier.
L'irlandese della Peugeot Rally Academy ha vinto la PS8, mentre nella 9 è giunto secondo alle spalle di Freddy Loix, che regala così il primo successo in una Speciale dell'ERC alla nuovissima ŠKODA Fabia R5. Il belga è attualmente 4° assoluto a 8"9 da Stéphane Lefebvre, che con la seconda 208 T16 ufficiale completa il podio.
Si è ritirato per problemi fisici Kris Princen, che ieri aveva terminato la Tappa al 4° posto. Guadagnano dunque una posizione i belgi Bernd Casier (Ford Fiesta R5) e Vincent Verschueren (DS3 R5), rispettivamente 5° e 6°. Molto positive le Porsche 911 GT3 di Romain Dumas e François Delecour, 7a ed 8a davanti alle Fabia S2000 di Marty McCormack e Jaromir Tarabus. Undicesimo Bruno Magalhães (208 T16), al quale oggi spetta l'ingrato compito di fare da apripista.
In Classe ERC2 è sempre battaglia fra Tibor Érdi (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X) e Vojtěch Štajf (Subaru Impreza WRX STI), con l'ungherese davanti al ceco per 24"4.
Fra i giovani dell'ERC Junior le Opel Adam R2 di Marijan Griebel ed Emil Bergkvist proseguono la lotta, mentre al terzo posto si è issato Diogo Gago con la 208 R2.
