Ypres, PS6-7: Abbring fuori, Breen chiude in testa
Errore dell'olandese che si ribalta, il pilota Peugeot termina la Tappa davanti agli ottimi Bouffier e Lefebvre.
Fine della Prima Tappa del Rally di Ypres: come spesso accade nelle gare dell'ERC, c'è stato un altro colpo di scena a modificare la classifica generale.
Nei 13,81Km della PS6 "Wijtschate" Kevin Abbring si è ribaltato per tre volte in un campo, uscendo comunque illeso dalla sua Citroën DS3 R5. L'olandese ha dovuto obbligatoriamente alzare bandiera bianca e al comando è tornato Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16), che chiude la Tappa con 4"6 di margine su Bryan Bouffier (DS3 R5), tornato vincitore nella PS6 e nella PS7 "Mesen" (7,48Km).
Terzo posto per un ottimo Stéphane Lefebvre (208 T16, +10"7) davanti a Kris Princen (208 T16) e Freddy Loix (ŠKODA Fabia R5), seguito a ruota da Bernd Casier (Fiesta R5) e Vincent Verschueren (DS3 R5).
Marty McCormack (Fabia S2000) sta andando benissimo ed è risalito fino all'ottava piazza, con un ottimo Romain Dumas (Porsche 911 GT3 RS) nono (e in grande recupero) e Bruno Magalhães (208 T16) a chiudere la Top10.
In Classe ERC2 chiude in testa Tibor Érdi (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X) davanti a Vojtěch Štajf (Subaru Impreza WRX STI).
Fra i giovani dell'ERC Junior virtuale tripletta per le Opel Adam R2, con Marijan Griebel davanti ad Emil Bergkvist e Aleks Zawada.
