Lettonia, PS7: Vorobjovs e Svilis puntano il podio
Speciale a Lukyanuk, Breen e Plangi ok, Butvilas vede avvicinarsi le due Lancer. Perdono terreno i Junior ERC.
Cambia ancora la classifica del Rally di Liepāja, secondo round stagionale del Campionato Europeo Rally.
Alexey Lukyanuk (Chervonenko Racing) si aggiudica i 12,15Km della PS7 "Tebra - Rallyofchampions.com" seguito da Kajetan Kajetanowicz (Lotos Rally Team), ma ricordiamo che le due Ford Fiesta R5 non sono più in gara per la vitorria, bensì solo per guadagnare i punti bonus di Tappa.
Il terzo tempo è stato fatto registrare da Craig Breen (Peugeot Rally Academy) con la 208 T16 ufficiale, sempre saldamente in testa con 1'05" di margine su Siim Plangi (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X), leader della Classe ERC2.
Chi invece deve stare attento è Dominykas Butvilas (Subaru Impreza, secondo in ERC2): il lituano è terzo in classifica generale, ma alle sue spalle stanno rimontando velocemente le due Lancer Evo X guidate da Jãnis Vorobjovs e Mārtiņš Svilis, rispettivamente al 4° e 5° posto e staccate complessivamente di 15" dal podio.
Scende in 6a piazza il leader delle Classi ERC Junior ed ERC3, lo svedese Emil Bergkvist (Opel Adam R2), ora incalzato anche dalla Fiesta R5 di Raul Jeets, il quale si è messo alle spalle le due Peugeot 208 R2 di Ralfs Sirmacis e Steve Røkland. Anche Mattias Adielsson (208 R2) sta perdendo terreno, con Robert Consani (207 S2000-Delta Rally), sempre 11°, ormai a 12" dall'ultimo posto disponibile della zona punti, occupato proprio dallo svedese.
Ripartito grazie ai regolamenti Rally2 anche Giacomo Costenaro (207 S000), autore di un bell'11° tempo in questa Speciale.
